HOW TO SELECT AN AQUARIUM TANK
Here are the key features to select a aquarium as a beginner in aqua life.as a beginner you should remember the key feature before selecting a home for fishes.choosing a aquarium for the first time is like choosing a first home for your fishes.you want to be friendly functional, and not falling apart after a week.
1.SIZE MATTERS(more volume,less trouble)
It Sounds Surprising, but larger tanks are actually easy to maintain then smaller tank.
- The weak solution:In a big tanks, the water chemistry stay balance.in a small tanks a smaller mistake like (over feeding, extra fishes)can pollute the water instantly.
- The Golden Rule:Choose at least 10-20 (gallon) aquarium.for your first setup, avoid "bowls"they are usually tiny and didn't provide enough oxygen for the fishes.
2.GLASS vs ACRYLIC(choice between 2 materials)
SUGGESTION:For beginners usually the glass is the best, because you can scrub algae from the wall easily without worrying about the glass scratches.
COMAPARSION
- Wide\Long Tanks:Give more area and space to enter enough oxygen for the fishes and plants and more "running room"for the fish.
- Tall\Vertical Tanks:It look cool but it can be harder to clean and wash out all the algae off less swimming space for the fishes.
4.REMEMBER FACILITIES(provide necessary things)
- A Heater:unless you are keeping cold water fishes like(koi, glod fish, zebra danio).you need to keep the water at a steady temperature.
- A Filter:Important for keeping aquarium clean and crystal clear water.
A Lid\cap:A lid is essential because of some fishes are jumper to avoid the jumps lid\cap is important.
5.LOCATION(place is important)
- place it on a dedicated area and space.
- set up the aquarium in dedicated aquarium stands
