How To Distinct Male (or) Female In Guppy Fishes 

Guppy (poecilia reticulata),commonly called as"millionfish"or "rainbowfish" are one of the most popular freshwater aquarium fish in the earth. initially from south america and the caribbean fish, they are beloved for their nature. they had vibrant colors,hardiness,and enchanting(fascinating) social life.

1. how to identify male 

Males are smaller with bright, flashy colors and long fins. Male guppy fish are famous for their vibrant   "peacock" energy they are small, flashy, and Repeatedly in motion. In the fish hobby, they are of most constantly preferred across females because they carry the most intense colors and elaborate fin shapes.

females guppies are the "calm,deep currents" or "power house" of the aquariums as compare to males they also known for their resilience and calm leadership nature as compared to energetic males guppies are livebearers they owned a biological ability\ skill to give birth fully formed babies\fries and they restore sperm to secure survival linage.

Body Shape : female guppy has "rounded and large"shape body and its has short , practical fins.

Body  Size :  usually female grow larger than males female grow up to 6cm over 2 (inches).

Body Colour:female guppies dose not have vibrant colours as compared to male, they have non              coloured body

Identification of female: females have gravid spot a triangular shape anal fin, females are easy to identify.and this gravid dark spot is the part of the internal womb. it gets darker when they get pregnant and the belly gets large and rounded.

When the breeding season comes the male chase and flare fins and dance to impress the female.

 2. Breeding Season 

the breeding season for the guppy fishes are mostly in home aquariums is not specify they breed all over the year if the temperature and quality of food is given constantly the female fish can give birth new ones every 28-30 days and do daily water change up to 20% to mimic the fresh rain which they experience in nature the common temperature for breeding minimum 26 degree celcius (or) 72 degree farenhite.
